![]() ![]() I chose Knight of Grace since it left me more open, and I might just end up in White/Black. Pick two was between Knight of Grace and Hallar, the Firefletcher. My second choice for first pick probably would have been Gideon’s Reproach, since it’s such good removal.īy the time the pack came pack around, I knew I was firmly in Black, and even though Rampaging Cyclops and Keldon Overseer are both better cards in a vacuum, Caligo Skin-Witch was the pick. This pack was actually pretty good, overall, and if the rare slot had had some junk in it, it would have been a tougher choice between Goblin Barrage, Skizzik, Grunn, the Lonely King, Gideon’s Reproach, Fungal Infection and Rampaging Cyclops. The only knock against it is the double-black cost, but the card was enough better than the rest of the pack that it didn’t really matter. I forgot to take screenshots for Picks 3 and 4, so will include the screenshots from Picks 11 and 12 in those slots along with some discussion about what else was in the pack when I first saw it and what my first picks from the packs were.ĭemonlord Belzonlock is the obvious first pick from this pack. Each screenshot shows both picks I made from the pack, and has red X’s on the cards that were gone from the pack when it came back to me. I’ve included screenshots of the picks from Round One of the draft below. I was wrong, the GUI showed it weird and I time-walked myself while throwing away one of the top two cards of my deck. ![]() This is kind of a known issue, where it’s not clear which copy belongs to which player, but I thought the GUI would show my copy of the enchantment as the most upper-left one, since it was not enchanting Tatyova, but rather my opponent’s enchantment. Tatyova was definitely worth the splash.Īround 19:25 in the video, you’ll see me make what is by far my biggest mistake of the entire draft, which I cast In Bolas’s Clutches targeting my opponent’s In Bolas’s Clutches, and choose my own In Bolas’s Clutches to sacrifice. The all-stars of the deck were definitely Icy Manipulator and In Bolas’s Clutches, with close runners-up being Demonlord Belzenlok, Cast Down and Tatyova, Benthic Druid. Here’s the deck I ended up playing: DOM Quick Draft U/B/g Midrange Creature (11)Īnd here’s the video of me playing it (going 6-3…one of the games is missing because I forgot to record it :/ ): It’s definitely my favorite of the three we currently have on rotation. Welcome back to Daily Arena! Today I’m going to go through my experience with the May 11 Quick Draft (just in time for the next one!) Spoiler: It went much better than last time. ![]()
